En la jornada de la MLB del lunes, los dominicanos brillaron con sus actuaciones en el diamante. Jeimer Candelario fue clave al pegar un jonrón de dos carreras liderando la victoria de los Nacionales de Washington por 7-5 ante los Cachorros de Chicago. Con este jonrón, Candelario suma 14 cuadrangulares y 45 remolcadas en la temporada.
Por su parte, Bryan De la Cruz y Jesús Sánchez también tuvieron su momento en el juego de los Marlins, al conectar sendos cuadrangulares. Sin embargo, esto no fue suficiente para evitar la derrota por 6-4 ante los Cardenales en San Luis.
Ezequiel Durán se destacó en el encuentro de los Rangers contra los Rays de Tampa Bay, al pegar su jonrón número 13 de la temporada. Además, el emergente Josh Smith anotó la carrera de la victoria gracias a un wild pitch de Pete Fairbanks en la novena entrada, llevando a los Rangers a un triunfo por 3-2.
En otro juego, Amed Rosario tuvo un gran desempeño al pegar un jonrón y José Ramírez contribuyó con dos dobles en la victoria de los Guardianes de Cleveland por 11-0 sobre los Piratas de Pittsburgh, poniendo fin a una racha de cuatro derrotas.
