Profar, experimentado jardinero con 10 años de trayectoria en Grandes Ligas, hará su debut en la actual temporada con las Estrellas en el enfrentamiento contra los Tigres del Licey hoy viernes a las 7:30 p.m. en el Estadio Quisqueya Juan Marichal.
Esta será la tercera participación de Profar en la Liga de Béisbol Profesional de la República Dominicana, habiendo jugado previamente para los Tigres del Licey en las temporadas 2012-2013 y 2013-2014 como torpedero y prospecto de los Vigilantes de Texas.
Con una sólida carrera en las Grandes Ligas, Profar, de 30 años, jugó este año en las Mayores con los Rockies de Colorado y los Padres de San Diego, desempeñándose principalmente en el jardín izquierdo. Su línea ofensiva en 2023 entre ambos equipos fue de .242/.321/.368, conectando 9 jonrones y remolcando 46 carreras en 125 partidos y 459 turnos al bate. Además de su habilidad como jardinero, Profar tiene versatilidad defensiva al poder jugar en la primera base, segunda base y tercera base.
